We are developing new material in engaging formats to find ways to reach more people with new permafrost stories. This time, we reached out to artists from any discipline to build new permafrost stories, characters and superheroes. Keeping scientific accuracy, we want a little more emotion, a little more curiosity, a little more surprise. We are ready to explore the unexpected – ‘permafrostly’ speaking – using any of a wide range of medium from graphics, novels, photos, to podcasts, circus, AR/VR…

The Plan

A call for pitches from artist in any discipline closed on May 31st 2019. Our group of scientists, storytellers and artists are working on selecting project(s)/artist(s). During the fall of 2019, the selected artist(s) will work together with scientists and producers to present a pilot version of the project in December 2019.
